Project summary

Crossing the continent in Vélosolex from France to Lebanon
for 3 months on some 5000 km. Departing Angers (France) on 5 April 2009
arrival in July Kobayath (Lebanon).



Program :

France, Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Syria and Lebanon.

We choose the solex as a means of locomotion for several reasons:
  • It is a familiar vehicle to us,
  • It is a vehicle mechanically robust and simple
  • It is an economic vehicle, 1.4 l per 100 km,
  • It is a locomotion conducive to meetings and discoveries.

The Team :
  • Jean Baptiste Lesseur: 25 years old, Edition - Communication, Hyères (83).
  • Farges Jean Marie: 25 years old, Cultural Management, Lille (59).
  • Thomas Bourget: 25 years old, Graphic Designer - Illustrator, Angers (49).
  • Thomas Wild: 27 years old, Graphic Designer - Photographer, Angers (49).
  • Gingue Thomas: 26 years old, Farm hand, Angers (49).

Means :

  • 18 months of preparation (support research, merchandising Touriplaisir products, communication activities, solex recoveries, etc.),
  • A budget of 7596 €.
